⛅️ The word “positive” brings up a lot of debate with my spiritual and logical self. I feel that there can be a lot of unrealistic pressure to be all “bells and whistles” kinda happy when we use this word.
I believe that “positive” doesn’t equate to being overjoyed, optimistic, “yes” beings. To me PMA means being content with life, finding mental and emotional balance. To be positive is to be ok with good and bad situations, accepting that some things come and some things pass.
🏄🏾♀️ But rather than being passive back-seat passengers we can play a “positive” active role in how we approach all celebrations and challenges. It’s learning how to surf those waves no matter how big or small they are, how frequent they come, how cold or warm the water is.... it’s finding inner strength to move with the tide. Don’t fight it or try resist it. Don’t give up and wait for it to swallow you up.
Even if you fall off your board, at least you did so when actively trying to surf. Learn from this and get back on that board. Try again. Keep trying.
🌊 Practice does not always lead to perfect because there are rarely two waves the same. As well as this so many elements will vary too from the location, the time of year, the weather, how you feel, your physical health.... so many elements to consider.
🍋So my take-home message today is try stepping back and looking at what you can do, particularly in the challenging moments of life, to see how best to navigate and get through it.
🥤When life gives you lemons, try to imagine what change you would like to see happen (or what you would like to stay the same if it’s something you love) and consider what it is you need to do, realistically, in order to achieve that goal. Keep it simple.
💛Just by adding a little water and sugar you can turn the most sour lemons into a refreshing drink. It might not be the best lemonade you’ll ever make but keep working and adapting that recipe until you’re happy or content with it.

Lung strengthening foods - with the air quality still very awful, the season still autumn (lung/large intestine peak season in TCM) and my daily yoga practice... the lung and lung function and well, breathing, are on my mind.
The Doctrine of Signature claims that foods that resemble various parts of the body can be used to treat ailments of those body parts.
The first photo is that of pomegranate sections. They resemble both the shape of the lungs as well as the little air sacs (alveoli) inside the lungs.
The sections of citrus 🍊 also resemble the physical makeup of the lungs.
Grapes 🍇 resemble the little sacs (alveoli) in the lungs.
While eating the whole@food is the best source of nourishment, juice will also do the trick. Make sure it is 100% pure, real, organic juice. No sugar added:) @ryanseacrest

I’ve been super productive this week and I’m fully back into my exercise regime, so I definitely feel like I deserve a weekend off.
It’s crazy how much better you can feel from exercising 30 minutes a day. The benefits are huge! And I’m definitely finally feeling them!

1st of November today which means Halloween is over and we can officially start getting excited about Christmas!!! I know I will be going Christmas crazy starting today haha.
Definitely putting a Christmas playlist when I get into work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love this season and the build up to it because you find people are happier, kinder and warmer to each other.
However people also get too generous during this season without realising this can harm the environment. Half (or more) of the stuff we buy will end up in the trash. Christmas is not about presents! So if you are someone who goes overly excessive with buying gifts why not try and be better this year and shift your focus. Think whether the gifts you’re buying will be used or whether you are just giving into the marketing ploy and wasting your money and damaging environment on top of it. Be kind to our planet, there is no planet B. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Happiness is soo connected to materialism. But it’s the free things in life that actually make us happy.
So why not this season and this Christmas just focus on being present, doing things with your friends and family and enjoy spending time with them.
Don’t spend money or time chasing the things the market tells you we need. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
