This was our first year honoring Yom Kippur also known as the Day of Atonement. These feasts in the Bible have brought so much meaning and depth to our walk with God. They have been right under our noses and we overlooked them and the beauty and significance of the days created by Him for us to honor and remember Him. No we don’t think we are Jewish. (The Jews make up only ONE tribe of Israel...and believers have been grafted into the natural branch). No we have not left the faith and Jesus (Yeshua). On the contrary! Celebrating His festivals and holy days have brought so much richness to our life that can not be explained unless you partake. We are His people serving Him and following His Word. “Until heaven and earth pass away not one jot or tittle will pass from the Law until everything is fulfilled.” Matthew 5:18. Heaven and earth are still here. His Word has not passed away. Not one single word. G’mar Hatima Tova!

King Of The Scapegoat Nation
In the Biblical ceremony of Yom Kippur, the sins of the people were symbolically placed on the head of a goat which was then sent into the wilderness to carry them away. It’s from this that we get the word ‘scapegoat’ meaning someone blamed for the problems, wrongdoings, mistakes or faults of others. God linked Israel to the scapegoat, over three thousand years ago. Of all the peoples in history, Israel stands above all for being the scapegoat of the nations. From ancient times to our day, the Jews have been the most accused, slandered, and vilified of peoples. But Messiah is the King of this scapegoat nation. He took the sins of all upon Himself and carried them away. If you belong to Messiah, then you are part of Israel. You, too, are called to bear the burdens, problems, and even the unjust treatment of others, and love them in return. The Lord, your Scapegoat, bore your burdens to bring you salvation. Thus, you are called to be a little scapegoat; to bear the burdens of those around you, so you might also bring them to salvation. Isaiah 53:4
TODAY'S MISSION - Today, seek to bear the burdens of someone and lead them to salvation.
My journey surrounding this book is almost as interesting as the book itself. I spotted The Story of the Qur'an on a shelf in the Fort York Library. What's interesting is when I went to check out the book it was tagged as discarded in the system and technically was no longer suppose to exist. This only intrigue me further so I googled the author Ingrid Mattson and found out that she was a Catholic raised Canadian who converted to Islam. I can say honestly that this is one of my favorite books for 2018. It's an excellent book for anyone who wishes to learn about the Qur'an in a clear easy to understand way.
Leviticus 16, Leviticus 23 and Numbers 29 all provide insight for Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. A Holy day on God’s calendar to draw us into deeper depths with Him. It’s a day of deep reflection and repentance. A day of atoning for our sins. On this day in the future, we will stand before our Creator for judgement. Why is this day, and all the other days God set apart, absent from our teachings in mainstream Christianity? My heart breaks that I had to wait until my late 30s to know my Father like this. Studying His ways and learning more of His character through His words has me falling deeper and deeper in love with Him on a daily basis. If you’ve not studied out this Feast, or other Feasts in the Scriptures, I would encourage you to do so. It’s an amazing perspective shift. I never dreamed I’d know My God like this. I still have so much to learn and I still have so much wrong; but, I don’t want to go another day with my head buried in the sand. My God, My Father, Yahweh, draw me deeper into your truths. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear. Sloth off all of me to see only you. .

I believe the Lord can do amazing things in your life, especially if you let him!
I have been fighting the conviction of covering my head for some time now. A few months ago, God humbled me and said I need to cover my head. So I did, and let me tell you, things have been amazing for me spiritually. I find myself seeking more, praying more, loving more. Follow your convictions (even if they are out of your comfort zone) and have radical faith that He has the best in store for you.
Love God, love others, love yourself ❤

// Pebble- How often do we find ourselves praying, and then shocked when it happens. Like we pray for someone to be healed and we are like, “Are you sure it worked?”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
Persistently- Just because God hasn’t answered it, doesn’t mean he won’t. If it matters to you it matters to him, keep praying. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀
Expectantly- Expect it to happen, like praying for healing, don’t be shocked or amazed when it happens, be expectant and thankful to God for hearing your prayer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Boldly- Be bold in your prayers, you can intercede for someone, you have the power of Jesus within you through the spirit. Jesus said himself, we will do immeasurably more than he ever did, be bold! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀
Big- God cares for what you care about. Pray big, if it sounds impossible, Gods a god of miracles, he created the universe, nothing is too big for him! Obviously don’t pray to win the lottery, unfortunately that’s not how it works. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Letting Go- Once you’ve prayed about it, you need to let it go. Don’t pray about it and then 5 seconds later act on it yourself, if you want Gods help and intervention, then don’t try and do it yourself. Give it to God and leave it there, pray about it again, but don’t try and fix it yourself, let it go. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀
Everything- Pray about everything, God cares, if it matters to you, like I said it matters to him. Even if it is small and to most people irrelevant or silly, to you it’s important, then pray about it. God loves to hear from us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀

Not Only Were Numerous Rainbows Filling the Yom Kippur NY Sumset Skies Last Night But Awoke To This Article In THE NEW YORKER That Features My Beloved Close Personal Friend The Late LARRY NORMAN!!! Good to see Larry getting his props since the mew book on his life! I even heard LARRY NORMAN’s Life Featured on NPR Radio a few months ago!
As many know LARRY NORMAN offered me a record deal to be a part of his goals for a new Solid Rock Records in his hotel room on OHIO in 1998 and would discuss it from stage in shows I opened for him in that year and the years that followed. I bled into writing an album for him but LARRY NORMAN only got to Produce a quick recording session in 2000 after a Jubilee 2000 concert we did together at The Knotting Factory in NYC that I organised to raise awareness for Jubilee 2000’s first national mobilisation to Washington DC
LARRY’s health would fail in 2001 and his goals to release a BILLY LAMONT album on a new Solid Rock Records were never actualised. I am very grateful the friendship and time I shared with LARRY NORMAN and for the Cover Blurb he wrote for my 2005 book Strobe Light Generation.’ LARRY NORMAN Was A True Pioneer, Rebel, Activist And So Many other things as a genuine follower of JESUS CHRIST!!! I LOVE YOU LARRY!!! [poet billy lamont]
