Cinematographers and fellow film-geeks, you cannot miss the next session! We are honoured to welcome as our special guest this session director/cinematographer CLAIRE PIJMAN. Claire Pijman worked as a cinematographer on feature films such as ‘Good Morning Karachi, by Sabiha Sumar, ‘Jermal’ by Ravi Bharwani, Wim Wenders' “Buena Vista Social club” among many others. Claire also directed ( and shot ) several documentaries amongst: ‘Later we care’, ‘Foot on the moon’, (on the set of ‘Dancer in the Dark’), ‘Talking Guitars’. Her most recent documentary is Living The Light - Robby Müller -a film on Robby Müller premiered on September 4th at the 75th Venice Film festival's competition and it counts with testimonies of Jim Jarmusch, Lars von Trier among others. This movie is now on Cinemas across the country.

MORE ABOUT CLAIRE
In 1990 Claire Pijman graduated in cinematography at the Film Academy in Amsterdam. Since then she works as a cinematographer on documentaries and fiction. She photographed feature films like ‘Good Morning Karachi, by Sabiha Sumar and ‘Jermal’ by Ravi Bharwani. A longtime friendship and apprenticeship with Robby Müller started after she operated one of the cameras on the “Buena Vista Social club”, by Wim Wenders. Robby Müller is one of her most important inspirators. Besides working as a DoP she also directed ( and shot ) several documentaries amongst: ‘Later we care’, ‘Foot on the moon’, (on the set of ‘Dancer in the Dark’), ‘Talking Guitars’. Her most recent documentary is ‘Living the Light’-a film on Robby Müller and his work, based on his personal archive. This film will premiere September 4th at the 75th Venice Film festival in competition.
