We enjoy hunting archery season but are excited to break out the shot guns for 6 day firearm • especially with this cold weather coming in!! Vince’s Virginia 8 pointer he harvested last year! •
What do y’all prefer: archery or shotgun season for whitetail??
I would like to make something very clear. I have nothing against vegans in general. I know plenty of vegans in real life who are very kind people and respect my choices. What I am against though is selfless vegans on instagram who think because they’re on social media they can say whatever they want. Aka cyber bullying. The people who tell others to kill themselves and “die a slow painful death” because they’re too immature to understand how the world works. Yes it’s true, humans wouldn’t be alive and where we were today if it wasn’t for hunting. Please don’t be that person who starts shit on social media for attention. .
Rio was so damn excited that she finally caught one today she ran up to me with it before I got out of the truck wagging her whole body and followed me around with it for the next 15 minutes 😂. She’s been trying real hard for a long time... perseverance gets the squirrel. #proudhunter#survivalism
Reflecting on the our weekend and how hunting is so much more than the harvest!
Besides the facts...did you know? *An 11 percent tax on guns, ammo, bows and arrows generates $371 million a year for conservation.
*Hunting supports 680,000 jobs; from game wardens to waitresses, biologists to motel clerks.
*Through state licenses and fees, hunters pay $796 million a year for conservation programs.
Personally, it’s the work put into it year round. It’s the friendships I’ve made, everything I have learned , and opportunities I’ve been given. It’s practicing and teaching my girls about conservation, patience, and consistency. Then to reap the harvest and feed our family!
After 8 years of hunting bear in California. I was able to harvest my first black bear. Lots of miles on the ground and hard work to make this moment happen. Hunting isn’t always about the harvest but after many years in the forest, I’m glad I was able to get it done. I decide to get my meat from Mother Nature, and eat what I harvest. Some choose a grocery store to get their meat but I choose to do it myself and like to know where my meat comes from organic and hormone free, I can’t wait to throw some meat on the #traegergrills#proudtobeahunter •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••if you don’t like me posting this, please no negative comments and just feel free to scroll on or hit the unfollow button ***** #hunting#hunter#proudhunter#fieldtotable#fieldtoplate#bearhunting#ieatbear
Few understand the cost of their meal better than hunters! And that because hunters take responsibility from start to finish. Hunting is hard work and the majority of that work begins when the animal is on the ground but with the hard work comes the reward of fresh clean organic meat. #huntcatchcook#hunting#hunter#proudhunter#deer#deerhunting#organic#gonebush#offthegrid @tikka_international @winchesterammunition @ridgeline_nz @spika.team
“My 2018 Wyoming Mule Deer!! 🦌⛰ I hiked from sun up to sun down to the very top of two different mountains, 10 miles to be exact. I am so blessed to harvest this beautiful Mule Deer in this beautiful state!” Repost from @wintersbrooke.
Passing on the knowledge and skills required to be a hunter is the only thing that will keep our tradition alive. Whether it’s a friend, family member or work colleague, teach someone you know about hunting. I do it personally but we also offer educational hunts, through @HuntShack, for people who don’t have someone to teach them. They are my favourite hunts to tag along and help out on! #iamhunter#iamhuntress
Just like this beast needs regular care and maintenance to keep it running strong (over 300k!!) our bodies need regular care and maintenance to continue running strong... You take the time to ensure your vehicle is maintained, why do you claim to not have time for yourself?
