This gorgeous late day Autumn light... both gives me anxiety and makes my kids and I stop in awe... Will we get back before the sun sets? (Yes.) Should I have brought headlamps? (Probably wise.) Will ticks eat us alive before we get back? (Possibly.) How many more miles before dark? (Just enough.) ....And oooh, look at the sunset! Mom, stand right here and look how the sun is between the tree trunks! Look at the reflections in the creek! ...Yes, I'm here. I'm paying attention. 🍂☀️🍃
The other side of our country is suffering from devastating forest fires and destruction. @wellsprings has set up an art fundraiser on Zazzle. After viewing @wellsprings lovely bluebird pic above and reading her sentiments in quotes below, be sure to check out her Instagram profile. There you will find the link to browse and purchase items she is selling to benefit wildfire relief. 🐦 - “Wake up with a Bluebird! I read that the Bluebird is viewed as a symbol of happiness, spirit, and connection to nature. Full view of perch in story.

City travel vs Nature travel🌏
Each have their own perks;
City: typically a better food scene, culture, historic buildings, landmarks 🌃🏯🏰☕️
Nature: experience the landscape, typically a healthier trip; hiking, exploring, eating & drinking less, get a feel of mother nature🌿🏕🌊🌈 What kind of travel do you prefer?! City or nature? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you haven’t noticed, we love to see places that are off the beaten path🛤 In the Azores, there was greenery and vegetation in every direction you looked. As we explored the island we would easily go a couple hours, if not most the day with out seeing a single person. Let us know your favorite types of places to travel! Comment below 😌
Today I'm missing some dog vibes in the house. When I need a bit of TLC, being around animals is the best medicine. ⠀
I grew up with dogs and was always amazed by their unquestionable positivity and sharp intuition. Did you know that you can train dogs to signal you when your blood sugar drops? 🍓⠀
I love these two sidekicks, the bearded duo of wizards. A lovely photo to inspire your day from my personal family album. ⠀
Tag a friend these guys remind you of (beard or wisdom considered)🧔⠀
When I'm out walking, I find that I'm often guilty in only noticing small details instead of expanding my view to the bigger picture. The micro rather than the macro. I enjoy finding the beauty in tiny examples of nature.
I've recently stumbled across @silverpebble2 where Emma Mitchell collates the most exquisite collections of natural items. So, inspired by her I indulged my love of the micro whilst out dog walking this morning and made my own collection of items.
I have to say that while I was busy enjoying myself, Puppy McDogface barked at me to remind me that it was stick-chasing time. When I ignored her, she rolled in badger poo. Doggy revenge!

Awe is something many people experience when they're in nature, and according to a study detailed in The Nature Fix, it's associated with increased generosity toward other people. "Maybe what we get out of nature is a sense of connection to the larger community of life. I know how that sounds: at best like an aspiration dressed up as a hypothesis, at worst like woolly-headed romanticism. But here's the thing - science is on its way to proving it"

Today we are talking about home made hair masks and incorporating ylang ylang in to your hair care treatments over on the Facebook page.
Ylang Ylang is our oil of the week this week and along with its heady perfumery smell it has so many amazing therapeutic benefits too! (Link to FB Group in my profile)
This beautiful tree is just behind the Samadee Yoga studio at AoNang🇨🇷. You can nearly touch the branches from the windows when you inside of the yoga shala. Every time l was practicing or teaching yoga in the shala l wanted to jump on it and climb all the way up to the crown of the tree to see surrounded jungle and limestone hills. Can you imagine that next to this beauty of nature are living people who are annoyed of this almost holy tree and they were in purpose poisening the roots of the tree to see it dying? Are you also asking WHY like l did? Just because the neighbors do not wanna clean every morning the leaves of the tree falling down on their property! It seems to me such a sad, silly and selfish!! Nowadays is this tree protected by police and if anything happen to this tree the person/people who will be caught are in the big trouble. Hope now is the life of this beautiful tree safe! #protectthenature#protectlife#beautyofnature#beautifultree#holytree#natureheals#samadeeyoga#naturehealsthesoul#naturetherapy#lovenature#natureismytherapy#lovenature 💚
I’ve been asking myself a lot lately what photography means to me. I don’t know that there’s a definitive answer - I just know from the moment I received my first camera, even before that, when I’d borrow my Mums, I was hooked. There was something in that tiny screen to be sought out and found.
There’s something that keeps drawing me in, something that pushes me to find the image in my mind within the landscape. Something that means I’ll wait through hundreds of waves just to try and “get the shot”, or to be able to tell the story of that place, at that time.
I can’t imagine my life without a camera in hand. The other day my camera was accidentally left at home and I felt naked for the rest of the day. These are totally normal feelings, yes?
