The dead must be treated with respect. We shouldn't distance ourselves from our ancestors. Instead we should honour them and cherish them. Their DNA flows through you. Immortalized within you. They watch over you as Disr, Alf, the Gods themselves. Burn the image of their skulls into your retina and go forth to make them proud. Fight, build, achieve. Your soul burning with greatness. You are their legacy. Regardless of who they are, they are now who you become.

Photo honoring the dead at Cimitero Fontanelle. This may be a Christian site. But the dead are no longer Christian once they have passed. There may be pagans here too. And don't forget about all of these paganism and solar symbols that Christianity incorporated from Indo European traditions.
Researching Annie’s family history has been incredibly fascinating. Through Ancestry.com we thought her Mother was named Elizabeth (Eliza) Williams from a March 24, 1867 Christening record in Worcester, England. However, Annie’s marker identifies her as daughter to “Annie W. & Angus Macdonald.” Perhaps her mother was Annie Elizabeth Williams and had several nicknames? We’ll keep researching, but for today it was nice to pay respects to Annie and clear the family grave markers.
'' Byron
