Huge thank you to everyone who helped out with our time capsule event and those who came! Another thank you to Senator Van Drew, Bruce Land, Mayor Rosenello, and Dick Richards of comets for being a special part of our day!
Setiap anak pasti bercita cita ingin membahagiakan orang tuanya.

Are you a part of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Tantrum? I'm Grand Master status, puppies!
Here is a photo my son snapped of us in a stressful mid transit moment. I’m throwing up a Hail Mary peace sign but my husband is calm and cool. This was one of those moments I discuss on the quirky piece I penned for @momclone a quirky on navigating the airport as a family.
I talk about that time I paid dearly for dressing like Renee Russo on a flight with my toddler, conjuring up those loving feelings with my spouse before Shackleton-esque journeys (I love you, @kadkhodai!) and just generally all the funny and not-so-funny mistakes I've made in transit w/ our kids.
I hope you'll laugh with me but permission to laugh at me if you're having that kind of week. Kisses! Link in bio.

#howihandleit Day 14 - Screentime
This is going to shock some of my friends who knew my parenting slant pre-departure. 😂 We love screens!
We use screens...
*to keep in touch with family and friends (FaceTime and now getting and composing texts and emails with grandma - bonus writing for an audience!)
*learning - app for handwriting practice, electric correspondence, tons of Bill Nye the Science guy episodes on YouTube, research for questions that pop up, recipes
*entertainment and relationships - we watch a Family Movie every Monday and we just started letting the kids have a kids choice movie/episode so Joe and I can have uninterrupted living room Date Night (free babysitter, whoo hoo!), Joe will watch the Titans or Vanderbilt football/sports occasionally with our eldest (love that daddy bonding time)....
*to break up long car trips - we’ll download ebooks from our library and just figured out how to download movies for upcoming cross country rides (and date nights when we don’t have internet access to stream). What are your favorite uses for these amazing pieces of technology for your kids?
✈️Traveling tips needed!! ✈️ I am about to take this little one on her first big vacay!!! I am so excited to show her the world, but to say I am nervous is an understatement. It is her first time flying and I'll be alone with her!
Lookout Mountain, TN
We stopped at this little town on our way to Indiana and took in some great views! They had the cutest little houses on cliffs and several tourist spots to check out! We'll definitely be stopped by again when we have more time! 😊
FLASH BACK... Great memories that we still treasure daily... During my maturity leave, I suggested to my super duper family that we should do a ROAD TRIP together. Why not? There're actually many benefits. Our younger one was still a baby. She was not walking. She was free to fly!!! We hiked the mountains with her in a shoulder carrier at the front. She absolutely loved it. She even fell asleep in it. And we gotta explore the mountains together. I remember our older one even got potty trained on this specific hiking trip. We were taking pictures on the top of the mountain. Our son still peed in his pants after he'd been potty training for 3 months. Usually we would have changed his clothes right away. It was considerably shorter hike comparing to the other hikes we'd been having. I didn't pack any spared outfit for our son. I asked him to "try" to walk normal... LOL... The discomfort of wet pants made our son realized peeing in pants was no fun!!! During our bigger hike on the next day, he found a pole, pulled his pants down and peed (like a puppy dog)... and the rest was history...
Our road trip data🛄🚼:
- 4000+ km driving
- In 22 days
