You know many people have asked us our WHY, apparently this is a big thing if you want to #succeed For us, there are a few of our #WHYs and the why's are always something close to our heart. Like @_dahiler_ said 'The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.' Have you found out your #why yet?
Andy C was live in London for a whole night. I feel so emotional about this LOL. One one hand, I wish I was there, and secondly I'm so happy I'm starting to feel something akin to excitement again. Still wish I was there though 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I don't usually add pictures of the boring little things I eat, or the continuous smoothies, juices or soups I repeat because why would I take 100 photos of the same thing?
I just add the highlights and the things I get excited about, much like every post people add to social media. So, to get a balanced view of the fact I don't just stuff my face with treats - here's an every day regular little snack for me. A banana and a handful of almonds. I've written a blog post about all the different nuts before if you're interested or would find it useful. It's taken from the Holland and Barrett nutrition guide because years ago they paid for me to do a nutrition qualification equivalent to an A-level with them.
Having said that, it's been pointed out to me that I have been eating too much sugar and eating too many carbs. Which going by my instagram is totally true. I have to admit I have over compensated on these since giving up alcohol and I'm glad it's been highlighted to me, although I was already concious of this. I even drank fizzy drinks after the first six months of this year because I felt like I could. Coffee shops replaced pubs and tea and cake replaced a gin and tonic. I have however in the past month completely dropped out fizzy drinks again I haven't eaten processed sugar for a few days and I only eat one big meal a day which is usually the one I post on instagram.
I've also had someone tell me I should go on a specific diet plan that cuts out all carbohydrates. Carbohydrates and sugars feed your brain and give you energy - it's the processed shit that fucks you up. If anyone thinks I'm giving up fruit, carrot juices, or potatoes. They don't know me at all. I eat fruit not only for hunger and enjoyment but for the vitamins and nutrients that feed my hair, skin, nails, soul, and endocrine system.
Speaking of the endocrine system, it's one of the main reasons beyond ethics I don't eat meat or dairy. I think we should all be mindful and educate ourselves on the endocrine system, the meat and dairy industry and the impact of animal lipids on your cardiovascular system & other physiological systems before dishing out any health advice.
