I haven’t posted in forever because I’m back in school! I’m currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Teaching to be a K-12 Art Teacher. While observing in a school yesterday I was asked to give a short lesson on pinch pots for the students who were done with their project early. As you can see they loved working with clay!... but not as much as I do 😉. I was introduced as a professional artist 👨🎨 “Mr. Pfohl’s pinch pot lesson” 👉🏺🤲🏺👌🏺👍

daddad-at is a term used by the indigenous community in Northen Philippines, which refers to conversing with minds and spirits. It is a non-verbal conversation that draws inspiration from within and re-imagines a life with fervor and passion.
The project is comprised of several activities, including lectures, concept development, maquette production, workshop with the Masters, glazing, firing and an exhibition. The DADDAD-AT Creative emerged from a passion to preserve tradition and to ground people’s cultural identity. Through Sean James Cassidy’s initiatives, this creative project became a joint endeavour of Ub Ubbo Exchange and UPCFA Ceramic Studio.
