"Sometimes it's necessary to go on a journey, to let go and to be brave. Our heart knows the path." 💛
A note from one of my best friends. I'm so glad I went on this journey. I had the summer of my life at Orca camp. I'm beyond grateful for having so many incredible people around me who helped me feeling so much like home here in beautiful BC. I'll never forget our adventures, the hikes, the nights at the fire, the stories, the laughs, the paddling in the Johnstone Strait, me falling out of the kayak earning my nickname "bubbles", the banana slug in the leftover cake, the glowing mushrooms, the bioluminescent ocean and throwing rocks into it feeling like a kid, the milkyway above us, our neighbor Jasper the black bear, the humpbacks sleeping in front of our beach, the orcas communicating above the surface in the night, my "ungrateful child" and adoptive Orca "Fife" showing up on my birthday, the pregnant orca "Current" next to my kayak and all of those amazing Orca encounters I never thought I'd ever have. Thank you. 🙏 💛

•••••• It has been one of the greatest and most difficult years in my life I’ve learned everything is temporary. Moments. Feelings. Flowers. People. I learned love is about giving everything and letting it hurt.I learned vulnerability is always the right choice because it is easy to be called in a world that makes it so very difficult to remain soft. I learned that all things come in twos. Life and death pain enjoy salt and pepper. And me and you. It is a balance of the universe. It is been the year of hurting so bad, but living so good at making friends and strangers. Making strangers had a friends. Learning dark black forest cherry ice cream or fix about everything. And for the pains I can’t bare there will always be my mothers arms. We must focus on warm energy always soaking our limbs in it. And become better lovers to the world. For if we can’t learn to be kind to each other how will we ever learn to be kind the most desperate parts of ourselves.-Anonymous •
