The Scott Monument is only a 2 minute walk from our hostel and there is a fantastic view of the city centre of Edinburgh from the top. It is 200ft tall and is the largest monument dedicated to a writer (Sir Walter Scott) in the world. There is 287 steep steps and the staircase is very narrow, so if you are claustrophobic, maybe give it a miss, but the view is worth the climb!
📍 Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown, New Zealand
Lake Wakatipu is New Zealand's longest lake and located in Queenstown on the South Island. It's water is 99.9% pure and can be bottled right from the source. Have you ever had pure glacial lake water before?

Another day another trek/hike. This time it was a bit longer that the previous one since we went to vattakanal only to visit Altaf’s cafe and then the other way round to pillar rock.
28kms trek this was from @zostel Kodaikanal along with a Scottish guy that has been at the hostel for a few days now and another guy who just cancels his bus tickets everyday since the last two days to stay back.
Oh and the best part about the trek/hike was the dog who lives outside the hostel did the entire trek with us of 28kms.
• Day 314/16 - Don Det, Laos. 🌄
Also known as 4,000 islands, this town was the perfect place to chill, swim in the Mekong, cycle off the beaten track and chase a few more waterfalls.
We found the locals to be so much more friendlier down here!
I had heard plenty of stories about this Italian mountain lake, but after a long day in the Dolomites I was too tired to look for it. However, by mere coincidence I stumbled across it on my way back home. The most beautiful things in life are often not planned 🌈
Horton Plains National Park
You will undoubtedly feel surrounded by tourists, walking along the beautiful paths of Horton Plains. However, walk very fast or very slow, and you may be lucky enough to enjoy the natural sounds and lights of the cloud forest!
