I went back out to Panther Creek this weekend and the lighting was stellar.
The next time I go back, I’m going for the triple falls shot.
Any suggestions on making it to the bottom of the creek to get the shot, without dying, of course?
Have you tried snowshoeing?
It wasn't until I moved to Colorado that I discovered what "snowshoeing" is. Found a group called @blackgirlshike_officialpage and they were doing a snowshoe hike on the weekend so I decided to check it out.
You can rent the snowshoes and poles for various prices.
Cost for me was $20/day + tax

Sometimes I even ponder on how lucky are those so comfortable in their routines, doing the same things, meeting the same people, eating at the same restaurants day in day out, for years even. It's odd that they would find the lifestyle I have somewhat radical but I find their choice more radical than mine. If it cannot meet the new or find wonder in the littlest things outside of what I know - how can I grow?
I like to think that the place where I was born was only a starting point to where I would end up in. But I haven't quite yet found where that place is but while I do, I will keep trailing on.
I’ve waited a really long time, needlessly, to make it out to the Coast of WA. It was everything I could have wanted and more. The salt air and sound of crashing waves on rocks. The calls of seals in the distance day and night reminded me of home. It’s been a long strange trip, me falling in love with the ocean. I’ve always been all about mountains and bagging peaks but now...well let’s just say the tides have changed a bit.
